Considered the main trends regarding the structure of higher education institutions by form of ownership, the number of Polish, Ukrainian and foreign students. Based on the analysis of the situation of the educational services markets of Poland and Ukraine, proposals have been developed to improve the methods of promotion of educational services, taking into account the experience of the Polish and Ukrainian universities.

The main tendencies in the structure of higher education institutions by type of ownership, number of students, amount of foreign students per country of origin. The main factors that influence and substantiate the expediency of increasing marketing efforts and developing a promotion strategy both at the state level and at the institution of higher education are identified.
