Анотація
The диплом thesis is devoted to the modernization of the electric drive of a plunger pump for pumping technical fluids in order to improve energy efficiency, reliability, and the quality of process control. The work analyzes existing designs of plunger pumps and their electric drive systems and identifies the main disadvantages of non-regulated drives. The feasibility of using a modern variable-speed electric drive based on a frequency converter is substantiated. A mathematical model of the plunger pump electric drive has been developed and investigated using MATLAB and the Simulink package. Simulation modeling of dynamic operating modes has been carried out. The results show that the use of variable frequency control reduces starting currents, decreases energy consumption, lowers mechanical loads, and improves the operational stability ofthe pumping unit. Practical recommendations for the modernization of the electric drive and the implementation of an energy-efficient control system have been developed.
