Анотація
The use of computer numerical control (CNC) machines makes it possible to reduce labor intensity and increase labor productivity by reducing the time required to prepare a product for production, reducing rejects, and ensuring the interchangeability of parts. Therefore, the design and further improvement of CNC machines is an urgent and priority task. The paper shows one of the possible approaches to the design and manufacture of a CNC milling machine based on a portable personal computer and an "open control system". Stepper motors are selected as actuators, which are controlled by special drivers. Machine control programs can be written in the G-code language. The machine is made in a single copy, has been working for 3 years and is constantly being improved through the introduction of new hardware and algorithmic components of the control system.
