Overcoming barriers in maths education of blind people requires understanding the differences they display when working with mathematical content offered in digital or printed format. This article’s goal is to describe how blind users of computer-based devices work with digital and printed information, especially when it includes symbolics, and which technologies are used in order to make mathematical documents accessible.
